GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH celebrates laying of foundation stone on Mainz Lerchenberg. Laboratory relocates from Bretzenheim to "Medienberg"
Press release
Mainz is set to gain an attractive biotech location, with the GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH, previously located in Bretzenheim, moving to their new headquarters on the Mainzer Lerchenberg, directly opposite the VRM media center.
The laying of the foundation stone took place on July 12, 2022, with Mayor Michael Ebling in attendance.
"This construction project is further proof of the appeal of Mainz as a biotechnology and medical technology location," said Carsten Müller, Managing Director of Karrié Projektentwicklung GmbH & Co. KG. "With the immediate proximity to the motorway and existing infrastructure such as the 'Mainzelbahn,' there are optimal conditions for further corporate settlements from the life sciences sector. We will be actively promoting the expansion of the area as a biotech location on the available land we have."
Dr. med. Patrik Zickgraf, Managing Director and Medical Director of GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH, is also counting on further settlements from the life sciences sector. He explicitly welcomes the city of Mainz's commitment to attracting more companies in this area to the state capital. "The location's proximity to companies such as BioNTech, Böhringer, Merck, and BASF generates a lot of appeal," said Zickgraf. "Locations like these are highly sought after. It will be exciting to see who will settle here next. GANZIMMUN Diagnostics is pleased to move into the building with optimal transportation links in 2024."
Mayor Ebling pointed out another plus point: the media location on Lerchenberg - located directly next to the VRM headquarters and ZDF. He placed current Mainz and laboratory magazines, the press release, the GANZIMMUN history, a sample report, a current aerial photograph, Karrié's internal magazine for their 40th anniversary, and the current issue of the Allgemeine Zeitung into the polished time capsule.
